AD 9: Priscilla Prado (D) vs Ryan Antczak (R)
The 9th Assembly district is located in southeast Wisconsin, the district is entirely contained within Milwaukee County. It comprises the village of West Milwaukee and part of the south side of the city of Milwaukee, including the Layton Park neighborhood and Southgate. The district also contains the Mitchell Park Domes, historic Forest Home Cemetery, Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center, Jackson Park, and the Potawatomi Hotel & Casino.
Incumbent Marisabel Cabrera (D-Milwaukee) had represented the district since 2019, but that is about to change. She won a seat on the Milwaukee County Circuit Court and that leaves the seat wide open for the next Democrat.
Priscilla Prado (D-Milwaukee)
Her career experience includes working as an accountant, office administrator, and owning a tax and bookkeeping firm. She served on the board of the Wisconsin Latino Chamber of Commerce. Primary winner by nearly 70%.
She did not have a response recorded on the 2024 ACLU Candidate survey.

Ryan Antczak (R-Milwaukee)
Antczak ran in 2022 for this district and lost. He also ran for election to the Milwaukee Common Council to represent District 8 in Wisconsin in this spring of 2024 and lost.
Relevant experience: U.S. Army Reserve, civil affairs specialist; Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution- Oxford retired, roles: business administrator, supervisory contract specialist, warehouse foreman, correctional officer; AFGE Local 3495 – Department of Justice, union vice president
In 2022 he told me: I’m of the minority that feel that it is a gateway drug. It does have its benefits & for those reasons alone I’d be for it. But not for recreation till we can determine how much is to much like we do with alcohol. Yes for medical. Recreational I’m against cuz of how impaired you can get. If we could measure as to how much is to much LIKE we can do with alcohol. Then I’d more for it.
