Kerry Trask (D) to challenge Paul Tittl (R) for AD 25
Assembly District 25 (MAP) in parts of Calumet and Manitowoc Counties, including the cities of Chilton and Manitowoc.
Trask ran in the 2010 election for Wisconsin State Assembly District 25. Trask was defeated by Independent candidate Robert Ziegelbauer in the general election on November 2, 2010.
On September 10, 2020, WisconsinEye senior producer Steve Walters interviewed Kerry Trask (D-Manitowoc) who is running for the 25th Assembly District in the upcoming general election.
Trask shares really briefly why he is 100% of support for medical marijuana, but on recreational, he has a little more to say on the issue. He is not closed minded the issue and does support decriminalization, but…. well listen for yourself to his 2 minute response. He is interested in public safety vs raising revenue from taxing marijuana.

Rep. Tittl was a sponsor of the 2017 decriminalization measure and is a sponsor of the 2019-20 Republican bill to create a medical marijuana program for Wisconsin. Rep. Tittl was one of the first Republicans to publicly ask for a public hearing on medical marijuana in past sessions. His continued efforts and willingness to work within his caucus to reform the marijuana laws earned Rep. Tittl a solid A- from NORML for the 2019-2020 legislative session.
Unfortunately, he is not on the committee for medical marijuana legislation for this current session, if he was, maybe the legislation would not be stuck in committee, awiting a public hearing……….
Position on Marijuana Legalization: Undecided
Position on Marijuana Decriminalization: Sponsored bill in 2017.
Position on Medical Marijuana: Supports
Sponsored Legislation: 2019 Assembly Bill 750 Creation of a Medical Marijuana Program:
Comments: Back in 2017: “It seems there is a numerous amount of people interested in passing medical marijuana in the State of Wisconsin,” Tittl said. “I think it is to the point where we should have the conversation — I’m not saying whether I am for it or against it — but I think more information does need to come out on both sides.”
