Elizabeth Lochner-Abel (D) to challenge Amy Loundenbeck

Rep. Amy Loudenbeck is from Clinton and lives down there next to the state on our Southern border that now has legalized marijuana.
At least this Rep was not so quick to dismiss recreational marijuana and just say NO after the 2018 referendums.
Rock County in her district sent a clear message when 69% of voters supported legalizing adult use marijuana, taxing and regulating cannabis like alcohol.
Rep. Loudenbeck did co-sponsor the Republican bill to start a medical marijuana program and look for her to take the lead on next session on discussing decriminalization and legalization.
Holds office State Assembly District 31 (District Map).

Liz Lochner-Abel was a classroom teacher and coach for 37 years in Wisconsin public schools. According to her webiste Liz knows that great schools are how we create a better future for all of Wisconsin. The website goes onto to say we can count on Liz to put our families first and not the lobbyists and special interests in Madison.
I asked her about her stance on marijuana reform and she replied “I believe it should be up to the voters of Wisconsin. The legalization of pot should be done methodically. Working with businesses and law enforcement to do right. The tax should go towards funding our classrooms“.
