GOP Assembly Rep Todd Novak 2019 Spring Budget Survey Marijuana Reform Results
Republican Todd Novak from Dodgeville is a GOP Assembly Rep that had a Spring/Budget Survey with a question about marijuana for you, the constituents that live within the following area:
Wisconsin’s 51st Assembly District contains parts of Sauk, Richland, Iowa and Lafayette Counties. The district is located in south western Wisconsin, along the border of Wisconsin and Illinois. The district map can be found here: https://maps.legis.wisconsin.gov/?asm=51&single=y
If you live in the district but did not take the survey, please contact Rep. Todd Novak at (608) 266-7502 or email Rep.Novak@legis.wisconsin.gov with your support of marijuana reform.
Here was the question:
Legalization of marijuana for medical and recreational purposes has been proposed. Law enforcement, educators and the medical community oppose legalization. Which best describes your views on marijuana legalization?
I do not support any legalization of marijuana use
I support limited medical legalization only
I support full decriminalization of marijuana for recreational or medical use
NORML Dave from his district contacted the office of Assembly Rep. Novak office to obtain the results and forwarded them onto us. The results were also listed on Rep. Todd Novak’s website.
And here are the results:
17% of respondents do not support any marijuana legalization.
49% of respondents support medical marijuana legalization only.
34% of respondents support all marijuana legalization.
If your Assembly Representative is Republican, they may have had a Spring/Budget Survey also. We had many of these Reps with surveys up that contained the marijuana question listed as past events on our Facebook Page found here: https://www.facebook.com/pg/NorthernWINORML/events
If your GOP Assembly Rep had a survey and you know the results, please contact us and we will publish them also! Our email for the chapter is NorthernWiNORML@gmail.com
We are proud to announce that Rep. Novak has sponsored medical marijuana legislation this session. Now it is important that we give marijuana reform a public hearing to move it through the legislative process. Use the action link below to send the committee members a message!
