Longtime hemp cannabis, free speech and political activist Ben Masel passed away shortly after 9am on April 30th, 2011 from complications of cancer.

On Wednesday May 4th a memorial will be held at the Gates of Heaven Synagogue in Madison, Wisconsin. Ben also started this Facebook page and posted on April 24th “This is where I’ll be uploading my immortal soul, and you will be posting memories, etc. The Files area will have interesting clippings, my posts on other sites going back 25 years, etc.” We ask that you share your stories, pictures, memories and links as we honor this true American Hero and make plans to attend his memorial service.

Jay Selthofner, Founder and current Treasurer of Northern Wisconsin NORML, is a motivated citizen activist in Wisconsin. In the past he has also served as Executive Director of the chapter, and in 2010, he brought awareness to Wisconsin with his run for Wisconsin State Assembly on a platform of full legalization of Cannabis and Hemp for Medical, Industrial, and Recreational purposes.
