If my memory serves me correctly, in the past the formal press release from the sponsors of the legislation will be circulated very shortly before the event.  The inside scoop from activists in Madison is that the 2013-2014 Medical Marijuana bill will be introduced by Representative Christine Taylor and Senator Jon Erpenbach on Thursday October 3rd, 2013 in the Assembly Parlor at the Wisconsin State Capitol in Madison at 10:30am

Although this is not official and has not been confirmed by this author, the following post in the Wisconsin NORML Facebook Group indicates we are on the right track with this early information.   Here is the post:

Hey , the new Wisconsin medical cannabis act is rolling out Thursday at 10:30am and we need lots of professionals there, media, this is info from a meeting today with Gary Storck, Craig Trost (Rep Taylors aide), Kelly (Sen Erpenbachs aide) and Greg Kinsely.

Pass this on please  have a good day we were asked to dress to impress!

If more information becomes available or changes, I will be sure to keep you updated.  See you at the Capitol Building Assembly Parlor at 10:30am this coming Thursday, October 3rd, 2013.

Just as a reminder, support from all over Wisconsin is needed.  Please contact your elected officials continually regarding the topic of drug policy reform.  Currently there is a support page/signature petition that activists are using statewide to increase awareness of the upcoming act, as well as document support in the districts of constituents.  You are able to find this signature form on Northern Wisconsin NORML’s ‘PYO’ Print Your Own area on their website or by using the following link: https://www.northernwinorml.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/Wisconsin-Medical-Marijuana-Support-Letter.pdf

Not sure who represents you in the Wisconsin State Assembly and State Senate, we have a link for that also: https://www.northernwinorml.org/contact/contact-legislators/
